ABOUT Jillian Pomeranian

Lives:

Annapolis

Education:

I have an MBA in Marketing and a degree in Mass Communication and Public Relations.

If you could not choose your current job, which job would you choose and why?

If I wasn't in PR and marketing, I'd probably be a psychotherapist. I am very interested in people and I like to help them solve problems.

Last vacation

My family recently moved to Ireland, not only for vacation, but also to look for a college for my oldest daughter. We liked everything: Irish people are friendly, cheerful and hospitable. It is a unique landscape. And the beer isn't bad either. The trip was also a success as my daughter is in her first year at University College Dublin.

If I want to relax, then...

When I really want to relax, I curl up on the couch with a nice red wine, Netflix, and my dogs (or my husband).

Favorite book:

Book club keeps me busy reading all sorts of things, but the last book that really stands out is The Four Winds by Christine Hanna. It is a historical novel set during the Great Depression and Dust Bowl of the 1930s. It addresses issues such as climate change, the economic crisis, migrant workers and women's rights (or lack thereof) and shows strength in the face of adversity.

Favorite quote:

"Just do it and that's it." - Yes, this is a Nike tagline, not a quote, but I'm in marketing. For me, this motto is a rallying cry, it makes any idea or task doable and reminds me to move forward towards my dream.
