Hairstory Names New CEO & Expands Leadership Team

Hairstory, the pioneer in detergent-free hair care, announces new directors to its management team as the brand targets additional growth.

According to the brand, Hairstory has experienced exponential growth over the past three years, increasing revenue by 190%. Hairstory's new leadership will address growing consumer interest in cleaner products, simplified beauty treatments and environmentally friendly practices.

Harley Butler is the CEO of Hairstory. Butler is an expert in taking high-growth companies to the next level. He believes that leveraging a combination of new technologies and channels is the key to business success. He has over 20 years of experience at various consumer and SaaS companies, including Target, Adobe, Prezi, Cisco and Flip Video.

Under Butler's leadership, Hairstory will redouble its mission to change the way people wash their hair. Dina Rosenblum is the new marketing director. Rosenblum is a beauty industry veteran who has served as senior vice president of Creed Fragrances North America for the past 11 years. She is a multi-channel thought leader with a passion for transforming and expanding brands in the hair and beauty industry. Past positions include marketing leadership at Unilever, Carol's Daughter and Bumble and Bumble.

Larissa Rhodes is the new vice president of sales. Rhodes was Vice President of Professional Sales at Olaplex, where he doubled the North American professional sales business and helped develop best-in-class strategies.

Stephanie Savage is the new design director. She has over a decade of experience in the luxury beauty industry, having worked for industry leaders such as L'Oréal Luxe Division and Unilever Prestige. He has experience in brand, global campaign leadership, packaging and product design, visual merchandising and digital production, in addition to his strategic vision and thoughtful team leadership.

Co-founder of Hairstory has retired

After serving as CEO from 2015 to 2022, co-founder Eli Halliwell will continue to be involved with the brand as executive chairman.

In this role, Halliwell will oversee the management of Hairstory's board of directors, including investors and advisors, and play an active advisory role in the company's day-to-day operations, with a particular focus on environmental impact and sustainability.
