Hannah Webster's post said: "Hey, how do you get yellow stains out of your pillow? I have yellow stains on your pillow. I've tried baking soda and white vinegar and the stains are still there. What else can you try?" Luckily, there are a few tricks you can try when baking soda isn't enough, and one of the most popular tips might just be the best one, too.
"Use a dishwasher tablet in the washing machine. It's an easy trick to remove all stains in one wash," recommended one reviewer. Several other answers also suggested trying a dish washing tablet.
Someone advised, "If you don't use anything else to clean your tampon, add a dishwasher tablet to the washing machine and it will shine."
Another agreed: "I always use a detergent tablet for my pillows and all my laundry in the dishwasher. My pillows have never been so white." Another added: "Nothing has given me better pillow cleaning results than a dishwasher tablet."
Many people already have kitchen supplies in their homes, but if they don't, you can pick up a pack of 30 dishwasher tablets from Asda for £1.34, which is 4p per tablet. Alternatively, according to Ms. Hench's fans, soda crystals are also a treat.
Another comment praised an alternative method: "Use baking soda crystals. Not only does it remove stains from pillows, but it also helps keep the washing machine clean." Meanwhile, another advised, "I've never seen better results than soda crystals."
