RIZIN lightweight champion Juan Archuleta is set for a rematch with Bellator titleholder Patchy Mix.
The Spaniard will defend his first welterweight title on Saturday. In the co-main event of RIZIN 45, Juan Archuleta faces former defending champion Kai Asaukra. If he gets past the Japanese fighter this weekend, he hopes to face Bachi Mix in the near future.
Juan Archuleta discussed the possibility of a rematch with War Ready in a recent interview with the JAXXON Podcast . He spoke with Rampage Jackson and explained that he had already spoken to PFL President Don Davis about the fight. Archuleta stated during the rematch with Patchi Mix that he would combine three brands.
Bellator and the PFL are understood to already have a partnership, with the Davis-led promotion purchasing the Viacom brand last month. However, the new MMA company does not have a bantamweight division, which poses a problem for Patchy Mix. With a 19-1 record against the likes of Sergio Pettis, he is considered one of the best fighters outside of the UFC today.
With the PFL unable to find an opponent for Patchy Mix's promotional debut, Juan Archuleta attracted a lot of interest. On the JAXXON podcast , “The Spaniard” noted that he was the only person to beat the Bellator champion. In 2020, Archuleta defeated Meeks for the vacant bantamweight title. Three years later, he's in the process of getting it back.

RIZIN champion Juan Archuleta is demanding a rematch with Bellator champion Patchy Mix
“I think their first event [in 2024] will be PFL Champions vs. Bellator Champions,” Juan Archuleta told Rampage Jackson when discussing the PFL’s recent merger with Bellator. “They only have six weight classes and those six weight classes are going to fight. I said, 'I texted Don Davis.' I'm in a strange situation here. We have the ability to combine three promotions into one campaign and you talk about us being a global MMA promotion. »
He has completed. "What better way to do this than for me to fight Patchy Mix since you don't have a PFL 135 champion yet?" Why don't I mind my own business on New Year's Eve and you let me fight Patchi? Mix because I'm the only one who defeated Patchi Mix. Of course, we can see what Bache wants, pick the champion and decide who he wants to defend the belt against. But that's the only thing that makes sense to me.
“I'll be on a five-fight win streak, he'll be on a six-fight win streak... If you want to be successful worldwide and prioritize fighters who do what fighters do, let Patchy Mix fight for it.”: the PFL and Bellator titles.
