These days you have to focus on each moment because things can change quickly. But this story will never go out of style. They are interesting and attractive, and everyone has them. What story do you want to sell?
For example, you would develop a marketing campaign strategy for a music video (substitute whatever you want to sell here).
Is this your first video or one of many (additional) videos?
Did they do it or was it someone else's (cover)?
How was it created?
Where are you currently advertising and/or where do you want this message to go?
Let's say this music video was filmed on a cell phone with an 8mm filter. This means I can offer them carriers, mobile developers, and app developers to collaborate with or at least tag them in social media posts (to also reach their audience, which can be in the millions).
This music video is also a cover art, which means credit must be given to the copyright holder. Be sure to carefully study how to do this. You can also promote hashtags, tags, etc., artist/band placements, and genres on social media.
The Rolling Stone Culture Council is an invitation-only community of influencers, innovators and creatives. Am I eligible?
When I asked about this duo, this is what I found. They used to live in Los Angeles, but now live in Nashville for family and musical reasons. They are on tour and tour dates are coming soon. A 30-day strategy might look like this:
Week 1: Tell us how you met, where you were living at the time, and your first song together. All posts lead to their website and subscribe to match news.
Week 2: Share information about your days on tour. This is a great way to gain followers in the cities and countries you are touring in by purchasing hashtags, links to music, and using other social networks.
Week 3: Ask your social media fans what songs they like best, where they've seen them live, and where they'd like to perform them. This provides opportunities to order and sell tickets if there is sufficient response.
Week 4: The history of music videos, apps, mobile phones and what happened next.
Take the story above and find all the places you can put it: visual ads, movies, newsletters, magazine interviews.
Marketing can fail if you don't have your own voice. However, sound is more than just marketing. I think on a sound level, sound is a flow, so if you don't have sound, you don't have that flow. Vibratory sounds benefit you and the planet. When you are a singer-songwriter and you are new, even if you have followers, it is very difficult to keep them active all night with just your music. But to get bigger venues and higher-paying gigs, sometimes you have to become a public entertainer: a cover band. The rule is to touch two or three caps, then put one on, rinse and repeat. Your regular customers will soon hear your original compositions and think they're listening to something they already know, and that's one way to build a music career. Stay true to your brand while remaining creative and innovative.
Creating a voice and promoting yourself go hand in hand. While trends and followers can change at any time, remember that your story is constant and by promoting yourself through your stories, you can reach more people with your voice.
