BOSTON - Wayfire is hiring a new director of marketing and a new director of human resources
After 10 years with us (current CMO), Bob Sherwin has decided to leave Wayfire, Wayfire CEO Neeraj Shah posted on the company's website. "Bob was instrumental in building and expanding our world-class marketing engine, investment philosophy and teams serving all of our brands and geographies, and was a driving force behind our growth as we passed $900 million in direct revenue in more than 12 billion dollars Join.
Shah said Sherwin has expanded the company's omnichannel presence from opening its first four retail stores to testing and innovating in catalogs and direct mail, as well as working on WiFire's digital channels. Following Sherwin's retirement, Paul Toms will be Wayfire's new marketing director, Shah said.
"During his more than 15 years at Wayfire, Paul has served in a variety of roles across our business, holding leadership positions in pricing, supplier experience, business intelligence and specialty retail brands," said Shah. He managed marketing for Joss & Main and was a founding member of Perigold. Most recently, of course, Paul has been leading our talent team, helping us through a major transition focused on improving our HR processes and outcomes.
Ryan Gilchrist is Wayfire's new director of human resources.
"Since joining WiFire in 2016, Ryan has held various leadership roles within the company, including category management, global talent management and talent acquisition," said Shah. "Over the past four years, Ryan has led several organizations within our core human resources organization."
Shah said Gilchrist is a strong, fair and inclusive leader and partner and brings a wealth of experience and perspective to the role.
August 11th is Sherwin's last day at Wayfair to help with the transition.
