Advertising And Marketing Communication Strategy

what is the program

The Advertising Strategy and Marketing Communications program is designed to help you guide the evolution of your advertising, ensuring it is supported by a robust and effective strategy that aligns with your organization's business goals. Whether you're an advertising executive in your organization, a senior executive looking to improve your team's performance, or an agency employee looking to show their clients the real business impact of real strategic marketing communications, this program it will help you. Optimize your strategy and increase the success of your advertising efforts.

What is the learning experience?

Your learning experience will consist of frameworks presented as video lectures, live webinars, real-life examples and case studies, application of the framework in weekly events, assignments, individual quizzes, discussion forums, and engaging tutors.

How is the program?

The program consists of 7 units delivered online over 8 weeks. Students can spend 4-6 hours per week watching videos, completing assignments and participating in discussions. The unit opens each week and there is an exam/assessment at the end of the unit. Students can work through an entire software unit in one session or in a short period of time during the week. Until the form is closed, access to the activity is closed each week.

Can a student withdraw from some courses?

no. This is an online program where subject modules are offered weekly and students must watch video lectures, participate in webinars, complete exercises/activities and take an exam every weekend to move on to the next week's subjects.

Is there a (live) session in real time?

The program will include live webinars led by instructors and/or subject matter experts via video conferencing platforms. These sessions provide opportunities for students to listen and ask questions, and while useful to enhance the overall experience, participation is optional. All live sessions are recorded for later playback.

What methods will be used for verification and evaluation?

The Kellogg Program Leader will review the assignments, discussions, and exercises to determine participants' understanding of the material.

How long does it take to complete the task?

The deadline for submitting assignments is usually 7 days after the form is opened, but can be up to 14 days, depending on the scope of the assignment. However, students may apply for an extension to address business and personal disputes that may arise during the course of the program. Contact the Program Director to discuss any issues you may have with the assignment.

Does participation in this program count as credit toward a degree from Kellogg, Northwestern, or another academic institution?

no. Executive Education offers only non-degree programs and each participant receives a certificate of completion upon completion of the program. This certificate does not count as graduate credit. Additionally, our online program does not currently count toward the Kellogg Executive Scholar Certification.

Does the program provide community interaction for students?

Yes, members can create profiles, communicate and collaborate with peers and interact with academic/industry experts such as program directors and teaching assistants. There will be office hours throughout the program and all participants will be able to ask questions or discuss assignments.

What are the program entry requirements?

To enter the advertising strategy and marketing communications program, participants will need the following:

  • Valid email address:

Does the program offer certificates?

Yes. Participants will receive a Kellogg Digital Certificate of Completion upon successful completion of the program. Since the program is graded on a pass or fail basis, participants must achieve 80% to pass and receive a certificate. These digital certificates can be shared with colleagues and posted on LinkedIn. (Please note: we do not provide score reports or "transcripts" as this is a non-degree program.)

Who is an emeritus and what does this have to do with Kellogg Executive Education?
