Teach Yourself Growth Marketing: How To Launch A Paid Acquisition Channel

There can be no business without customers . So how can you attract new customers to your startup or attract existing ones? The answer is simple, growth marketing.

As a tradesman who has practiced this craft for over a decade, I have taken many courses and can attest that the best way to be sure is to do it yourself.

I'm not saying you should immediately jump into a Class A startup or take on a growth marketing role at a large company. Instead, I'll show you how to teach growth marketing in five easy steps:

  1. Landing page setup.
  2. Launching a paid shopping channel.
  3. Start an email marketing campaign.
  4. Experience developing A/B tests.
  5. Determine the most important metrics for your startup.

In this second of my five-part series, I'll teach you how to set up a paid shopping funnel to ultimately drive more online traffic and landing page conversions (purchases). For the rest of this series, we'll assume we're dealing with a direct-to-consumer (DTC) sports supplement brand.

As you begin to think about ad optimization, metrics like CTR, CTR, and CPM can help you separate the losers from the winners.

Even if you have the most unique product on the market, most consumers won't magically find it on your website. This is paid shopping most effectively: educating and generating consumer interest in your product.

There is one key aspect to consider when deciding which paid shopping channel to launch: your target demographics. Where do your target consumers spend their time online? Are you browsing TikTok or reading an article on LinkedIn? If you can find the answer to this question, it will be much easier to choose the first channel to start with.

If your target demographic is on multiple acquisition channels, you can choose Facebook or Google as your primary channel. These two platforms are a duopoly in paid shopping and will be the best base for learning how to manage paid social media and paid search channels.
