Delivery app Snappy Shopper has teamed up with stores to bring prices back to 1966 levels to celebrate the upcoming World Cup. The Snappy Shopper offer runs from today until Thursday and will help football fans enjoy the World Cup at home despite rising costs of living.
The deal will bring the prices of five of the country's most loved foods back to their peak in 1966 when England won the tournament. The three-day event offers significant savings on the following football favourites:
- 180g packet of Doritos: 7p (usually £2.19)
- Pepsi Max/Coke Zero 2L: 8p (usually £1.99)
- Cadbury Share Bar: 6p (normally £1.25)
- Maynards Sports Mix: 5p (normally £1)
- Club Cookies, pack of six: 6p (normally £1.25)
Snappy Shopper said they wanted to take the pressure off the family and have a pre-tournament celebration. Snappy Shopper and participating sellers will cover advertising costs, and Snappy Shopper says they are also investing in marketing to raise awareness and support local sellers.
Offers will be available at the following stores through the Snappy Shopper app:
