The photo was posted on Spotted Witney's Facebook page with the caption, "Welch-Way-Shell has a late April prank."
Another customer shared a picture of the price, which showed a price of 187.9p per liter after adjustments.
This is due to increase in fuel prices.
According to Petroprices.com, the average price of a liter of petrol in Oxfordshire is £1.85, up 35 per cent from £1.34 at the start of June last year.
On Monday, the average price of diesel was a record 191.2 cents per litre.
The Competition and Markets Authority has announced that it will conduct a "short and focused market investigation" into the sale of road fuel.
He was responding to a question from Business Secretary Kwasi Kwarteng, who admitted that people were "justifiably disappointed" that a 5 per cent fuel tax cut in March had not stopped the increase in pump prices.
